Many of my colleagues in the financial education industry often ask why I created such a detailed NISM Research Analyst course, especially when there are few takers in the market. My inspiration stems from my time teaching at the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute in Mumbai, where I encountered many students eager to take NISM certification exams.
While most students were comfortable with the Equity Derivatives and Mutual Fund series, they struggled significantly with the Research Analyst, Investment Advisor, and PMS series exams. Many had difficulties with numerical questions and often failed to complete the exam due to negative marking stress. During this time, I guided them on preparing effective strategies to clear these exams.
When I started my own academy, the challenge of the NISM Research Analyst exam was always on my mind. I wanted to provide mentoring for students across India. To achieve this, I began offering online live sessions in the evening from 7 to 9. However, since many students were professionals, they often joined late, and my dedication led me to extend the sessions past 9 PM. Students then suggested recording the sessions and making them available later.
This feedback led me to create a dedicated professional platform, allowing students to access courses and mock tests at their convenience. Thus began the journey of the NISM Research Analyst course, and now the PMS and Investment Advisor courses are also nearing publication.
As a teacher, I felt the need to stay connected with my students. I wanted them to feel confident knowing someone was there to support them in their learning journey. To address this, I introduced daily doubt sessions from 5 to 6 PM. Students could post their questions or doubts during their study, and I would call them and resolve their issues in real-time.
This approach has given me immense satisfaction, knowing I am genuinely connected with my students and can resolve their study-related issues promptly. Many students have shown excellent results, proving that it's not just about providing content—which is readily available on Google—but about giving confidence and boosting morale. Knowing someone is there to support them in their learning journey makes a significant difference.
