Guide To Renewing Your NISM Research Analyst Certificate

• Only candidates with a valid NISM-Series-XV: Research Analyst Certification are eligible.
• Your existing certificate must be expiring within the next 12 months to register for this renewal exam.

Exam Structure

• Total Questions: 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Marks: 1 mark for each question (Total 50 marks)
• Duration: 1 hour
• Passing Marks: 25 out of 50 (50% passing criteria)
• Negative Marking: None
• Training: 2-3 hours of pre-recorded online training is mandatory before the exam.

Exam Process

1. Pre-recorded Training (2-3 hours):
   • Watch the videos on NISM's portal.
   • This step is proctored, so your webcam and microphone must be active.
2. Online Exam (1 hour):
   • Conducted online and fully proctored.
   • Must be completed within 5 days of the scheduled date.

• Device: Laptop/Desktop (Mobile/Tablets are NOT allowed)
• RAM: Minimum 4GB
• Processor: i3 dual-core 2.2 GHz 5th Generation or higher
• Internet Speed: Minimum 2 Mbps (Stable connection)
• Browser: Latest versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge
• Operating System: Windows 10 or above
• Camera & Mic: Must be functional and turned on throughout the exam

Steps to Enrol

1. Login to NISM's Certification Portal with your credentials.
2. Go to Enrolment > Enrol for Examination.
3. Select NISM Series XV-B: Research Analyst Certification (Renewal) Examination.
4. Submit a declaration confirming your valid certificate.
5. Once approved, pay the exam fee of Rs. 2500 + taxes.
6. Admit Card will be generated after payment.

Important Instructions

• Keep ID Ready: Have your original photo ID ready before starting the exam.
• Proctoring: NISM will monitor your training and exam through your webcam and microphone.
• No Disturbances: Sit in a quiet, isolated place to avoid disruptions.
• Complete Within 5 Days: Finish the training and exam within the assigned 5-day window.

• Certificates will be issued within 5 working days after successful completion and verification.
• Validity of the renewed certificate is 3 years.
