It is open to everyone, including students, professionals, or any individual looking to expand their knowledge of finance and investments.
After registration, you will receive login credentials via email. Using these credentials, you can log into the SICE portal (https://sice.nism.ac.in) to access study materials and begin your exam.Once registered, your exam link will be activated instantly. You can take the exam at your convenience after registration.
Yes, if you do not pass the exam, you are allowed to appear for three consecutive attempts. After three attempts, a cooling-off period of three months will apply from the date of the last attempt. You can use the same login credentials to reappear.
After successfully passing the exam, you can reappear only after 12 months from the date of the exam.
Reminders for appearing in the exam will be sent fortnightly via WhatsApp and monthly by email for up to 6 months.
11. How will I receive my exam credentials?
Once registered, you will receive your login credentials via email. If you don't find the email in your inbox, check the spam folder. You can start the exam immediately after receiving the credentials.
12. Can I reschedule or cancel my exam enrolment?
There is no need to reschedule or cancel since the exam can be taken at your convenience anytime after registration.
13. Where can I appear for the SEBI Investor Certification Examination?
You can take the exam from the comfort of your home or any place of your choice using a desktop, laptop, or Android mobile device. There are no restrictions on the device you choose to use.
14. What is the validity period of the certificate?
The certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance.
15. When and how will I receive my certificate after passing the exam?
Once you submit the exam, your certificate will be available immediately under the "Download Certificate" tab on the SICE portal (https://sice.nism.ac.in).
16. Is there any negative marking in the exam?
No, there is no negative marking in the exam. You can answer as many questions as you know without the fear of losing marks for wrong answers.
17. How can I renew my certificate after 2 years?
To renew your certificate after 2 years, you will need to appear for the exam again and pass it to extend your certification.
18. What happens if I accidentally close the exam link without attempting the exam?
If you accidentally close the exam link after opening it, the system registers it as having "appeared" for the exam. If this happens, you can contact NISM Certification Helpdesk at +91-8080806476 or email certification@nism.ac.in to reset/unblock your exam.
19. Can I appear for the exam in Hindi in addition to English?
Yes, the SEBI Investor Certification Examination is available in both English and Hindi, so you can choose the language you are most comfortable with.
